Upside down dragon...

Hey guys - I have a 12 year old bearded dragon. This is the second time I have found her on her back. When I flip her back over, she seems to be fine? With the small amount of info I read on line, it said it can be a bone issue or calcium?

Do you guys have any suggestions on supplements? I haven't changed anything with her diet in 12 years! (i've always used calcium dust!) I had her since she was a baby baby and I would hate to lose her!

Thank you so much for any advice! This forum has always helped, during her entire lifetime!

Noodles and I thank you in advance!
Kerri

What about other vitamin supplements? If she doesn't have a broad diet that could cause it maybe? Another could just be age. 12 years is getting old for a bearded dragon, I haven't heard of any healthy ones living past 16 with 11-13 years old as the standard age.

Considering age, I would look further into various vitamins. Then I would work on getting as close to perfect weekly intake of each type of vitamin that is essential as I possibly could.

Best of luck with her.

thank you so much for your input! i actually went and got some special supplements. everyone keeps telling me that its her age - and i heard they can develop some sort of bone condition - esp. when they get older. it just breaks my heart - ive had her since she was two-three weeks old!
