Nice looking snakes. Did you get them as newborns? If so, would you mind telling us about how they were to get started? (Such as: live vs prekilled, domestic mice or deer mice, in their first summer/fall or the following spring.) I have a group of this year's neonates that I have put into brumation, in hopes that they will start feeding for me in the spring.

I got them in August 2011, so they were a few months old and the breeder already had them feeding on f/t pinks. I have heard that they will sometimes eat small fish or fish-scented pinks.
Also, if you make a nest out of wood chips from an adult mouse cage that have the rodent scent and put the pinks in that, you might get a feeding response.
I've also heard of newborns not eating until after brumation.
So those would be my thoughts, though I've never produced Rubber Boas and had to raise non-feeding neonates.

Thanks Tim. I guess I will be sharing my experiences with them next spring. For now they are in the garage enjoying a nice long sleep. Hmm... that sounds good!
