Ok is it true cal kings continue to bite as they get older even if handled on a regular basis?

YUP! They aren't very selective in what they like to put their mouths on, which is pretty much everything.

All snakes are different, as a general rule I dont handle cal kings much until they hit 2 feet in length. I can handle any of my breeders without being bit or struck at but might get musked and some of the smaller breeder females are quick and dont sit still. Have an albino male that turns 10 years old this year hes about 4 feet long and pretty tame.

I made the mistake once of handling my Daughter's pet rats and only washing my hands quickly with water before picking up my King. He grabbed my finger. Whatever you do in that situation, do not yank your finger out or you may pull a tooth with it. Wait for the snake to open her mouth to adjust, and then slide your finger out of her mouth.

Now, it's soap and water before I touch a reptile.
