Nice and simple: I have a dead snake that's body is in perfect condition, how do I skin, gut, and de-flesh it so that I can get the skull and spinal column for educational use? Thanks.

Cut down the length of the ventral surface with sharp scissors. Then cut a ring arounthe neck and peel the skin off. Put the remaining carcass on an ant bed and wait a few days. In the mean time, put the skin sticky side down on cardboard and sprinkle with salt. It will dry and be thin and soft.

That's how I've done it,anyway.
