Ads Without Photos

People that post ads, without posting pictures of the animals offered are wasting their time and mine also! No one wants to buy anything blind! Well at least I don't! If an animal is offered, why not take the time and show it off? Especially something that potentially costs hundreds of dollars! Makes me think, what are they trying to hide?

Anyone else feel the same?

With some people, it's definitely about being deceptive. Mostly with others though, it's just plain laziness and/or being too cheap to even buy an inexpensive digital camera to take pictures with.

The only time pictures might not matter is when you are dealing with multiples of normal looking animals, especially when selling wholesale or in lots. But for the buyers of individual animals, at least offer pictures to those that want to hand pick specific animals as even normals can vary in large degrees between appearances.

Honestly, who would want to spend hundreds of dollars if not thousands with someone who is either too cheap or lazy to show pictures of the animal for sale? In this day and age, there's really no excuse for it!

Again the judgmental thing. If someone chooses to not include a picture, that's their right. Its there problem if they lose sales. Just don't bother to read the add. Unless you cannot stop yourself, then that's on you.

If you don't add pictures, then you better have a really good rep and great animals. Cheers

As a current example. I have a friend that has these white hogs, and he is going to sell them for top dollar and will not post pics or even an add. Thats an example of an extreme circumstance, but there are indeed circumstances from there, to those who are required to post pics. Thanks

Again, Troy, you make completely valid points!

Who, in their right mind, would want to gamble thousands of dollars on some purchase, without seeing what exactly, they are buying?

If you are friends with someone, that is one thing. I have friends who know what I want, and I trust, they would pick out, for myself, sight unseen, exactly what I would want.

For those whom I don't know, why on earth would I spend money, on on any snake, sight unseen, without seeing what I am spending my hard-earned money on, to begin with?

That is nothing more than just practicing common-sense. Not being judgemental, as some newbies may think, but again, common sense!!

If you are gonna advertise a snake in the thousands, you might as well learn that a cheap digital camera is not a feat that is not beneath ones's self. You read the instructions, you point, perhaps pick Micro, and take a pic.

Not that hard.

Not that hard at all!!

If you want thousands of dollars for some snakes, then why not show you believe in what you sell, by taking a few pics.

Not that hard!

Not that hard at all!

It is not rocket science, to take a few pics of what you are selling!!

If you can not handle such a simple feat, perhaps you should not be selling anything, let alone selling a live animal!!

This is something I also find annoying and I agree with you completely Troy. A related pet peeve are those who don't post a picture, but in the ad ask you to email them for pictures. If you have them, why not just post them? I'd rather not get someone's hopes up on a potential sale when I know how picky I am. I just went through it the other day. Someone had some ball pythons up for trade for hognose. They posted pics of some snakes off of their list, but not the one I was interested in. So I emailed regarding the one I was interested in. I get the pictures and it didn't appear to have the genetics claimed. I send an email politely declining and reported my observations which led to my decision. I then get a snarky response back. Had they posted all the pics or a link to the pictures, the aggravation all around could have been prevented.
