Only eats mealworms

tommy36597 Feb 15, 2014 12:41 PM

For some reason my bearded dragon will only eat mealworms
. She was raised on crickets before I got her. I believe she was 3 months old when I got her almost a month ago. I tried small and larger crickets both alive and freeze dried but she won't go after them. But when I put the mealworms in her bowl she eats them all. Sometimes she eats the veggies I leave her too. I never had this issue before with a dragon not eating crickets. She's already gone through a shed so I know she's growing but I don't know what else to do. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Both meal worms and crickets are really just fat in exo-skeletons so both will help the beardy grow just as much until it hits the point where it is going to be mostly on vegetables any how. You can dust and gut-load meal worms with anything you can for crickets so there is no worry here.

Good luck.
