I agree that this forum needs more activity. All my adults are hibernating now. I am hoping for a good breeding season!

I'm so glad someone responded! My Eastern boxies are hibernating as well, but my Chinese and Vietnamese are giving me so much satisfaction indoors.
What experiences would anyone like to share about C. mohoutii and C. flavomarginata?
I think it's because most everyone's box turtles are hibernating. My turtle garden was covered with two feet of snow and now that it finally melted we are expecting 8 more inches by tomorrow night. I have 5 inside for the Winter in planted vivariums. Four that are too young to go out and one that someone gave me that was a mess and lived in a box for 5 years, with no humidity, lights and just ate lettuce and tomatoes. Sad, especially when there is a world of information out there now, and most everyone has a computer or smart phone to research on.
I can't wait for the snow to be gone. We are expecting another foot of snow tonight

People have lost interest and have been hassled and harassed by Govt. interests brought on by the stupidity and foolishness of the BIG snake owners. I saw this coming years ago and sold off most of my selection of colubrid snakes. I still keep a handful of snakes and my box turtles.
The big snake owners have systematically destroyed our hobby. No one but a handful of us would speak out against them. The idiots brought down suspicion and scrutiny of our entire hobby. Our hobby is now highly regulated. KS.com used to be a bustling forum. Now its a pittance of what it once was.
The reticulated/rock/Burmese python owner-breeders have jack up the entire hobby. Look around at the different reptile/amphibian forums. Most of them have just a handful of post over an entire year. Look back in the archives of some of these forums and you will note how much more activity there was just a few years ago.
If some of you are offended by this TOO BAD. I call it like I see it.
