Noticed the FB for sale are all older models with coated metal vs. the un-coated ones with the plastic ventilation vs. the all metal ventilation.
When did they start changing over to the newer versions? Bought mine about 8 months ago and there were no older versions offered.

Best ask them. I looked on their website - indeed the inserts are plastic, and all mention of powder-coating is gone. I see that the racks are shiny now. Are they aluminum alloy?
I doubt aluminum because of the heavy weight. Stainless Steel?
Maybe a mix of alloys. I've got an ARS with mixed levels recently and am extremely happy with this rack. mike.
