NEW Snow annectens

alstotton Mar 09, 2014 05:55 AM

Here is my unique snow annectens, I call this 'Alpine Snow' and it has zero yellow pigment present.
I knew from the moment this hatched it was different and the first thing that struck me was its eye colouration, especially as it had an odd silvery looking iris that look kinda blue in certain light!

The lack of yellow was not my first thought as the yellow is something that develops with maturity and and varies in % from snake to snake.

I honestly think this would be classed as a blizzard if it were a corn snake.

YEAR ONE 2011

GROWING NICELY

2013 and 100% yellow free

WOW! I love annectens. They're native to Chatsworth where I live, but I've never seen one like that! Absolutely beautiful!

Thanks for the positive reply Reako, much appreciated!

WOW! Is what I'm thinking when considering having my faves being native to where I live! Unlike you guys over here in the sunny (lol) U.K. there's barely a native reptile throughout the land.

Cheers......AL

Cheers Billy, appreciate your reply Bro!

Funny thing about that snake is it looked an almost blueish tone when it hatched, I first took little notice thinking it was just a pre first slough type of appearance

She seems to be getting whiter and whiter which is most pleasing to the eye and hopefully she will reproduce this season to produce the first offspring carrying these genetics.

Defo a nice snake and I'm proud to have the genetics within my collection to produce such a stunner.
I really like the snow annectens overall.

Cheers Jason.

I'm really starting to examine a lot about how that alpine snow came about and hope to replicate it again soon.
