Northern Pine a little crazy lately

bakeaway Mar 24, 2014 07:15 PM

My big male northern is acting very different this year. He is constantly active,,up against the glass,,,rubbing his nose. The temps are right. He is eating. No change in mood. Still a very easy to handle snake. But him constantly rubbing at the glass is strange.
Is it because it is spring and he is looking to mate?
He is 5 yrs old and never had this behavior before.

Yup. Typical behaviour.

Yes he's just looking for the girls. Eventually this will stop and he'll resume eating like normal.

It was behavior like this, that lead me to believe that my WC Great Basin is probably male. But I am still not 100% positive.
