When is the best time to buy a hatchling

x45kylekatarn Apr 10, 2014 08:40 PM

Hey guys, recently I have decided that I want a snake. I have a 5 year old Snow Bearded Dragon so I have some experience with reptiles. I've done all my research, and I was torn between a ball and a corn, but I really want a white reptile. I can't quite afford a Blue Eyed Leucistic Ball Python at the moment, so I decided on either a blizzard corn a blue eyed leucistic corn. I know that Colubrid breeding season is going on, and I was wondering when breeders would have the largest selection of hatchling corn snakes. It would be awesome if somebody could help me out. I look forward to joining the ranks of snake owners among this community.

Corns don't really come in leucistic currently, unfortunately, but there are several rat snake species that do. But we do have snows and blizzards.

Most breeders will be neck deep in hatchlings around June and July.

Thanks a bunch, it's been really hard to get an answer. I'm excited, because from what I could gather it was more like September, or October. I get a snake even sooner than expected!
