Annulata egg help!

bisch7 Apr 23, 2014 12:22 PM

So I came home and found these in the females tank, i have been gone for two days and checked right before i left. So these are at most two days old, has anyone seen eggs come back from looking like this? They are sunken in a lot for being only two days old. Spotted male to Spotted female.

You should be ok. Just put a moist almost saturated paper towel on top of them over night and hopefully they pop back out. Make sure egg box is closed tight. It happens to me about once a year.

I had eggs way worse than that last year... tried to breed an albino male to a unrelated normal female, when I watched it was just her fighting him off. I separated them a couple weeks later. One day towards fall I checked on her and she was wrapped around 5 very shriveled up eggs. I set them up even sprayed a little water on them. 2 hatched about 100 days later, technically I cut the one and the other pipped a day later. Your eggs look fine.
