2013 ghost and het ghost cal king stuff

mikefedzen May 07, 2014 09:26 PM

I can't believe I still had stuff I never posted or even stuff I've never gotten a picture of lol... These first 3 are from light phase Ghost X Mosaic, out of 15 babies only 2 were male, the first picture is the male I kept. The next 2 are females, the zipper banded one is a little psycho! The 3rd female is half striped half banded.

The next one is a female high white that is double het for Coral Ghost (Ghost X Hypo).

And lastly is one that I didn't produce, a dark phase Ghost male het lavender, Kerby produced this guy.

Very nice kings, Mike. You got no mosaic het for ghost in that pairing? Or is that like a secret? lol

That's really cool. You've got the chance to make some really cool never seen before ghosts if you keep her. A mosaic ghost would be interesting.

You might have posted it. I probably missed it or forgot. I just see too much between here and all the other websites.

I hear ya, I might have just posted her on another site and thought it was on this one too... but yeah I kept 1.3 of them in hopes of eventually producing a Mosaic Ghost. I also want to get some albino mosaics out there, this year I bred my Mosaic het albino female to a male het albino mosaic, females full of eggs she'll probably drop any day now.

Cool! Will be looking forward to the results of that.

NICE,

I'm surprised mosaic isn't more common in collections since it is an incomplete dominant trait. I should have some interesting double het mosaic stuff (lavender x hypermel and lavender x hypo). I'm raising up a pair of mosaic triple hets (lavender, T- albino, and hypermel), when those go it will be CRAZY!

Mike, are you making any more mosaic het ghost stuff this year?

Cheers,

Kyle

Kyle,
No het ghost mosaics this year bred coral ghost (ghostXhypo) to dark phase ghost het hypo, light phase ghost to normal, light phase ghost to het ghost, light phase ghost to blizzard and light phase ghost to het mosaic albino even though the het mosaic albino bred to another het mosaic albino I tried the ghost male on her too because last year only 3 out of 9 eggs were good from her. Wanted to see if I could get a clutch fathered by 2 males lol...

I'll be interested in any physical mosaics that are het for multiple genes...

Mike,
I'm sure we can work out something in terms of trade if you are interested. I'll likely hold back a few pairs of the mosaics but not too many (I have enough snakes as it is). This lavender mosaic male of mine has turned out to be a great breeder that produces some sweet looking babies. I'm certainly interested in the ghost and hypo stuff! Do you know which hypo "strain/gene" you are working with? Hypos are such a mess in terms of compatibility!
