Miraculous LUCK!

JBugDragon May 23, 2014 08:53 PM

So I was driving home after going to the store. I noticed a red-tailed hawk was circling around, but then she disappeared... As I drove up my long driveway, I see her plunge into the pasture on the side of the road. My car scared her, and she attempted to take off with her catch, which as far as I could tell was a rabbit or something. She dropped it as she fled, so I ran out there to see if the animal was badly injured. To my surprise, it was a 4 foot female bull snake!!!

She has minor injuries to her neck and tail, but it doing super well and is non-aggressive!

She looks like she may be gravid...

She's a very lucky girl and I'm going to keep her, as it has been a goal for a while to catch such a snake.
YAY! (:

Are you serious?! That's awesome! Too bad for the hawk haha but I can't say I'm unhappy he dropped her. Congrats on your new girl! Its so funny things happen unexpectedly like that. I remember times where I spent HOURS in a place where I see snakes all the time and not even see a garter snake n I live in Colorado so I am looking for someone nice representatives for a locale project and I was walkin my dog and I heard this loud hissing n look down and he's GENTLY holding this awesome looking male. He was looking at me like "your welcome dad" haha so when I'm telling ppl the story I tell em my pit caught me a pit haha he's a pit bull. Hey n if she's gravid she'll thank u for savin her with a nice lil clutch! Congrats

That is a neat way to obtain a wild bull snake! Where do you live. What state and county? I'd like to see the bull snake. Post a few nice photos of her so we can see what she looks like. That was an interesting story also about the guy that posted the pit bull with the bull snake.
