I have male rhino, I've had for 16 yrs and 2 yrs ago every time i. Put him outside for the summer he turns in godzilla... He is tame as a kitten inside an used to be outside as well. Is it hormones? Or jus iguana anger?

They dont see the same spectrum of light as we do. Taking them outside is not the same for you and I and as it is for an iguana. When you take them outside they freak out because theyre being exposed to what to them is a totally different extreme to their senses.

Its not only a Rhino iguana reaction. I've hatched panther chameleons and when raised together indoors they get along fine. Take that same group outside and they act like they don't recognize each other and pose defensively.

In my opinion the world they see visually is not exactly the same spectrum you and I experience.

yes! exactly. And its not just the seeing--its FEELING as well.

Natural outdoor sunlight can cause them to become more energetic and happy (aka...ragey) I will post an excellent article on color spectrum views from the NY times

Petranella is a monster in the sun too- which Is not a bad thing, she is supposed to be like that..shes a cyclura shes just being normal.
