Where are the powder white snow corns?

AaronBayer Jun 02, 2014 10:02 PM

maybe my memory is messing with me, but I remember snow corns around 12 to 15 years ago actually being mostly white... at least the ground color. I use to see them all the time where the ground color was a nice even powder white, the blotches were a translucent(ish) off white and there would be a little yellow on the throat.

I havent seen one like that in a long time.

seems like most "snows" now have so much color. lots of pinks, oranges, yellows, and greys in the ground color and blotches.

have people just been breeding for color and abandoning the white snows since we have other white options in corns?

i'd love a pair of grade A snow corns in my collection, but dont know if any non "coral/pink/lime/blush/strawberry/high-yellow/whatever they are called now are even available.

I have one just like you've described! Vibrant yellow on the throat, not just a little, though. You can barely make out where her saddles are. Under close inspection, they are off-white/translucent-y. I think those are among the prettiest snakes. She's not very old, maybe 4... She's the only snow I've ever seen like this.
