Hey guys I'm writing this cuz I'm a little worried. Now I know snakes have their little phases where they don't eat but I've got a couple of yearling sayi that are coming up on a month. They are housed alone and always have fresh water hot zone cool zone hides the works.... They haven't lost very much weight at all and everytime they pooped when they were eating I always scoop it out right away it looks solid and no extreme smells or runny. I'm worried tho cuz especially for these 2 boys it is so out of character. Also being spring and everyone else has picked up on they feedings just has me concerned.... They are still active and strong no lumps or bumps... Anyway I'm thinking of taking them to our vet. In my 15 years with pits kings and corns its never been the bulls going this long and even with the corns it only happens in the fall so any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks

Whiteside ate yesterday and sunglow is clouding up since yesterday morning.... If he still won't I'll just take him in. Better safe than sorry. They ain't losing weight and everything else seemed ok I just am concerned cuz I've never had bulls of all things do this in the spring.

I'm glad the WS ate for you Brandon. It doesn't sound like cause for concern just yet. If their husbandry is on point and they aren't losing any weight they'll eventually come around. Some of the males still have other things on their mind. My buddy's normally voracious king just came off a month long fast last week. My male king went 3 months over the winter but he only lost 1 gram of weight. I panicked after week 11 and tried a small live feeder which he devoured. After 2 live feedings he was back on track and taking f/t again. My female bull is only 9 months old and I've never had any issues with her eating but I have heard of other pits going off feed for a month or two. Best wishes and keep us posted.

Thanks ziggy. My only reason I was worried was that its spring and they are both under a year... The sunglow will be 6\22 and my Whiteside on 7/3.... Other than right now though they have been chowing down every meal. The sunglow is 55" eating rats and the Whiteside is almost 4' eating 2 jumbo mice at a time so they were up all winter and its now they chose to haha. They both are in shed now so I'm hoping after the shed they will start again...
