My first grayband catch

oursnakes Jun 14, 2014 04:00 PM

I caught my first grayband last night. It is from around Iraan, right before it started raining.

Congrats. Nice looking GB. Nothing like the feeling of going out and finding your target species. You'll never forget the high.

Thank you, it was very fun.

Congrats! I like how the bold black bands contrast with the light gray and orange.
Is it a male or a female? Are you gonna try to pair it up?
Did you see any other snakes that night?

Here's a pic of my first grayband, a female from west of Langtry.

I am not sure if it is a male or female, but I would like to pair it up. We also saw two copper heads.

By the way that is a really cool grayband.

Thanks, she was a good breeder and laid many clutches.

I hope you catch a mate for your snake. The conditions look decent for that area this week.
