Yesterday I was feeling there's not much point in continuing to post if nobody's responding except FR.

However, as a result of emails I have received privately, expressing appreciation for my contribution and the couple of posts today from others, expressing their thoughts I see there's hope of different views being brought to the forum

Please guys - Don't be intimidated !!
Ignore those who ridicule your ideas.

On the one hand breeding hogs is easy, on the other hand there's plenty we still don't know, whatever certain people may claim.

All the decent breeders whom I chat to - most of them well known - are humble enough to admit that and we are always comparing notes and looking to improve things.

I look forward to positive energy and fresh ideas !!

Man, I missed you. Again, the reason you have lost your mind is, you make it about you. Like you just said, Ridicule, you think that's whats happening. Its not. A billion times now, we STATE, its about the animals, not about the keepers. Its about husbandry.
The times you posted your animals, was great. It showed you are delusional. Your nesting was fine, yet you go on and on like it was about you. All you have to do is ask questions. When you showed what you do, It was easy, good job. What your thinking, well that's for you to figure out.
Caracal, when you say, you want to improve and grow. That's where its about you. Gregg and I have methods that will allow you to not waste time. Then you can take what we did and you can improve on that. And surely I do not see an end to it.
Caracal, many here has had egg binding problems and many have lost females. Many here have shown pics of eggs scattered around boxes. It was not you, it was others. Those are the folks that can benefit from better nesting conditions.
Lastly, this thing about coming and going, is childish behavior. You can stay or you can go. Do what pleases you. But please, I am not going to fall for such stupid gamesmanship. I will come here, or leave here, on based on my own decisions. It will never be based of ding dongs playing kids games. If the mods advise me on how I say something, I will respectfully attempt to do so. In the meantime, I will hopefully learn something, share something and entertain and be entertained. Even if its playing silly games. Its a sad state of affairs, but this crap is still better then daytime TV.(with the exception of sports)

You said bellow that it is apparent that this forum is being hijacked by FR. To me, it is more apparent that most of the people here are consumed with trying to discredit or argue what Frank says which is the problem in my opinion. If you already know that you don't care about what Frank says, why even read his posts? That is what is really strange to me. It is quite simple. Don't bother clicking on his posts. Just by doing that, you can cut off the start of any disagreement. The fact is, anyone who responds in a negative way to what Frank writes, equally contributes to any drama. Even if Franks said we were all the worst keepers in the world, by getting into it with him in the defensive way many of you do, it degrades the thread and the forum even worse. Either take his information or leave it.

I do agree that we are all still learning but I also think some will never consider anything other than what is written in old, outdated and incorrect caresheets.

I've said several times I respect FR's viewpoint on the snakes.
I don't pay much attention to all the other stuff he writes and I don't respond to it either.

I just think it's ridiculous that every time anyone says anything he pounces on them.

Imagine if we were sitting in a room having a discussion and every time somebody said something one person immediately negated what that person had to say and just kept repeating his viewpoint - it would be very unpleasant.
Whether you care to admit or not, many are finding it very unpleasant.

But that is the only way a conversation and our way of thinking can evolve Jonny. And no, it is nothing like being in a room. The big difference here is we can chose to read or not read a post. You are willingly subjecting yourself to whatever is in the thread when you click that button. And even if you do read the post, you still have the choice to get into it or leave it alone. Many of you always chose to go back and forth with Frank and that is where it all escalates.

If one puts effort into contributing a post, it's perfectly normal to click on the responses whoever writes them, all the more so when the person has a record of negating everything you say.
And, yes, people should be as courteous as if they were in the same room.

I don't mean to compare this discussion with an FR debate, but I definitely don't want to be having these sorts of political debates here.

If one puts effort into contributing a post, it's perfectly normal to click on the responses whoever writes them, all the more so when the person has a record of negating everything you say.

It's a strange world we now live in when you are forced to defend yourself from an attacker and yet you are the one considered the bad guy, not the attacker. I don't get this way of thinking but I guess that's just the way it is nowadays. It's no wonder why so many people have wisely decided to completely avoid public forums like this due to the toxic nature of this way of thinking.

And, yes, people should be as courteous as if they were in the same room.

I agree. Unfortunately, there are still those that would be equally as rude and obtrusive regardless whether they were here on the forum or standing right next to you.

I once put a lot of my time and energy into this forum and sadly, most of what once was here has been lost in the KS databases or has been completely forgotten. Therefore, I find no reason to continue as for me, this forum has degraded into a downward slide of personal attacks and negativity and I'm tired of being labeled the bad guy simply for defending myself.

Either way, all the best to you Jonny for patiently being here and trying to contribute as best you can. I hope you find it far more rewarding than I or others have found it to be. Adieu!
