Cutting eggs

Aaron Aug 02, 2014 12:49 AM

What is the best kind of scissors to use for cutting eggs?

Are there some made specifically for reptile eggs or is there some other kind that people are repurposing for reptiles?

Are there any herp supply places that sell them or do you have to go to something like a special barber or manicurist supply place?

I use an X-acto knife, but I've seen razor blades or cuticle scissors!

Thanks for replying. Yes I've used razor blades but I remember a long time ago seeing some specially designed scissors that had a flat disc on the end of the bottom blade and I can't find them anywhere.

Google bandage scissors. several medical equipment suppliers have them on their websites. not expensive. i think that is what you are describing

I think RinL is correct! I have a pair from a pharmaceutical firm, but they're too big for snake eggs!
