Etiquette: Questions to breeders...

DawnMZ Aug 03, 2014 08:25 PM

I have a question about etiquette. lol Taking into consideration how different hatchling ridleyi and blue beauties look from their respective parents, is it rude to ask to see pics of the parents of the hatchling(s)?

I have asked two different breeders in the past year (very politely) for this kind of pic and they simply ignored my request. They answered other questions but ignored that one.

absolutely nothing wrong with asking that sort of question.

any breeder not providing any info you request should be avoided.

for animals I sell, I have pics of parents, all info regarding the parents' history, egg lay date, hatch date, and dates of all meals and sheds available to any customer if they ask. no such thing as too much information.

Thanks! That's very encouraging. Are you currently breeding any beauties? Just asking so that when I am ready for more snakes I know who to ask.

Yes, but would you give all this info replying to a "blank" email sender.
Full name and zip code location missing. I sure won't. My blocking dept. gets it all.

reason...they get asked 100 things per one sale....

people are rude (not saying you)...

some guys are just not into public relations...they are snake people...

...all kinds of reasons.....

an yes...some snakes just look the same as all the other of the same species.....yet they could say...a little darker...a little lighter....

other guys sell every variance as a "morph"....no matter how stupid...

I answered nothing did I ...LOL

Lol Your response made me laugh! Especially the "every variance is a morph" comment.

It was helpful in that it gave me a possible window into understanding where some of these breeders may be coming from.

Thanks!
