KingSnakeEGGS

Has anyone ever seen yellow eggs that are not slugs? My snake Queenie surprised us with a clutch. We found her outside, and decided to keep her & about a month later, she laid 9 eggs. the 1st 4 were nice & white & full but 2 collapsed & started molding. There are 5 eggs that are mostly yellow with spots of white. More like they are see thru, than the pics I've seen of slugs. Has anyone ever heard of that? One even has what seems to be red veins running thru it. Is that possible? I have done a lot of amateur research, but I am obsessing over these eggs!!!! I have incubated all eggs, only 7 left now, in hopes we can have some babies...

Incubate and stop worrying, its out of your hands. And yes, I had one king that laid eggs that were see thru, she did that for something like 18 years and they hatched. It was cool, I would watch them develop.

OH WOW!!! Oh that gives me so much hope! I felt so hopeless! Like I killed them if I don't do everything exactly rite... But it is outta my hands they are animals after all and they have had pleeenty of babies without assistance in the wild. Thank you for your answer, it helps!!!

Yellow eggs sometimes have transparent look to them. Yellow ones are usually infertile. Some eggs have transparent windows and those are fertile. But without seeing the eggs it is hard to tell.

Is there a chance you could post a clear pic of the clutch?

What did you do with the moldy eggs? My first clutch of kingsnake eggs had 2 moldy ones. They looked horrible, but they hatched just fine!
