I have gotten some confusing info on the Calif. status on the Red Diamond Rattlesnake. Is this snake now on the Calif. protected list? I have on that I caught in 2004 and would that make it under a grandfather clause?

Yes, they are on the list I believe, I am looking up the details. A great deal of their habitat has been lost. Yours would be grandfathered.
