please help! Spot on my ball's head

inkedup1987 Nov 09, 2014 09:04 AM

Hi everyone and thanks in advance for your help. I'm probably just being over concerned but I wanted to be sure. My albino ball has had this reddish spot on the top of his head since I got him(he is still quite young...around 10-12 months). He has had multiple great sheds and eats fantastic. Is this just due to the thinness of the skin on top of the head or is this something to be concerned about? Click on the link below for the picture. Again...any help is greatly appreciated.

Just looks like that is the way he is. Albinos can have coloring like that. As long as there is no swelling, spreading, or inflammation there is nothing to be concerned about. The redness will probably disappear as he grows and his skin gets thicker.

In the off chance it is an injury sustained before you got him it is not a problem as he eats and sheds fine. It will fully heal if it has not already.
