A while ago there was debate here about hognose and their venom.
Recently we acquired a young adult male red albino western to go with our female next spring.
My son keeps the westerns and he fed it a small adult mouse. The hog bit the beans out of it attempting to eat it. I mean pin cushioned it. But the venom had no effect what so ever. Two days later the hog did eat the mouse. (my son does that, leaves adult mice in with his snakes)
Anyway, again, I have not seen any effects with their prey, or on me for that matter. Cheers
