dad to the babies. I caught him with his tongue out

Other then, a name is just a name, how can these be called axanthic? These do not resemble axanthics in the least. Unless my computer is wacked and it may well be, but those have lots of brown.
Are some individuals axanthic like, and others not?
Because when you breed 2 of these together, you get this... Its a co-dominant axanthic.

I think those are amazing looking. I will b making supers this year and hopefully make a anaconda toffee jmg snow codom form. I made 7 jmg het albinos this year and had some nice offers for them but I kept every single one and all of their clutch mates. I do this more of a hobby than a business and I think that jmg stuff is just so neat looking in the super form. Can't wait to make some!!!!! And frank. How do those Mexican hogs do switching over to nice compared to the westerns. Those axanthics you have are amazing. If u get rid of some in the future I would be interested in getting a
Couple.
I will also be making albino jmg codoms this year hopefully. All breedings are never for sure but I think I will do ok. If I get eggs im super stoked but I always aim low. I should be doing about 22 pairings this year and am hoping for 25% to take. Only my second year breeding hogs so it will be fun. I just love these guys. I go into my snake room every day for at least an hour mostly just to watch all of them and check out my favorites. Been breeding snakes for 17 years and these guys have been my favorites by far.
I love it when people enjoy what their doing, good work and keep having fun. 22 pairings, that is 22 adult females, man you went whole hog, hahahahahahaha I will have 6 pairings this year. hahahahahahaha my second year too.
I know right I tend to jump in with both feet. Im glad my wife don't kill me when I say "what its just another 6k and they are sooooooo cool". Its sad when u lay in bed and cant sleep because you are thinking how cool these two snakes you have will look when you combine their colors in the next generation. ahhhhhh
Hi Jon, I have both W/c's and CB, and all eat mice either right off, or scent by rubbing a toad on a live rodent a couple times. There has been no problems what so ever. The individuals that required scenting were CB newly hatched. I have a friend that has some W/C kennerlyi from the same area and a couple of his adults do not eat mice. Got me.
I have a few westerns and they are very similar, maybe the westerns are a bit more normal. The kennerlyi feed well, but their first response is normally to play that spreading adder thing, then feed. Even the CB's do that.
I see so they can be on an individual basis. Have you ever tried scenting with a frozen toad? I think those axanthic Mexican hogs are truly amazing looking. Albinos are cool but ive always been a big fan of the grey and white stuff. Thanks a bunch Frank. I would be interested in trying those out if u ever part with any
Also great job with the field studies that you do. That is how we better understand the different species that we work with. Justin Mitchem told me of a book maybe call the evolution or field study of heterodon nasicus in the 1950ish era. herd it is a great read but cant find it any where. anyone else heard of this book and where to find it?
I would love to read that. If you find it, let me know.
That thing is outa hand. But those others were not axanthics. That's where the problem is. They are great looking hogs, but not exanthic.
I have another silly question. The animal pictured has a lot of white. White is not a color, its the combination of all colors. So if its an axanthic, whick is lacking Red and yellow, how can it make white. Same for my white kennerlyi axanthics. Thanks
touche.
I can agree with you frank. The name can be misleading in the codom form but the super leaves no explanation to be done. They are soooo cool. Kind of like the anaconda phase. I'm sure one has never constricted its mouse 😋
