So I'm visiting Florida for spring break and really wanted to get a new snake, they're a lot cheaper here than they are in southern California. And a friend of mine is a Gecko breeder who knows a guy who only breeds red tail boas, he said he'd sell me one of the 2 month old babies that doesn't have the best pattern (which I don't really mind it's still beautiful) for $30, which is great because the cheapest I've found them was for $100. The only problem is that the airline doesn't allow snakes on planes, you have to pay $125 to have them shipped underneath in the animal cargo bay, which is stupid considering dogs up to 70 pounds are aloud on for free if they are "emotional support dogs". Why can't I just put him in a sealed pillow case in a box with airholes and then put him in the bottom of my backpack? It's is way quieter than a dog. But yeah does anybody know of a way to smuggle him on? The airport I'm flying out of has the newer security at the gates where you stand with your arms up, Im pretty sure he would move around if he was on my body. But maybe somehow in my bag?

Turn's out If i buy him and take then go to a psychiatrist I can get him officially registered as a emotional support snake, but with insurance a psychiatrist will cost $90, so that [bleep] won't work :/

If you get busted trying to smuggle anything on to a plane it will be far worse than the fee to have it transported legally. Do you really want to risk fines, a criminal record, and possible jail time for that? Check prices to have the snake shipped. I have one I bought on line shipped from Florida to New York state and the shipping was less than $50 I think.
