Hey everyone. I am completely new to breeding "Hondos". i Have an adult male and female, that i have been introducing for the last few weeks. I brought the snakes out of brumation March 1st. I have been introducing the pair twice a week, since the females first shed, and it seems like i am having no luck. the male seems extremely interested but the female does everything she can to avoid the male. Does anybody have any advice? I have heard that Hondos sometimes breed later in the season. Any information Will help. Thanks.

What you have heard is true. Mine generally breed after their 3rd shed. Right now work on getting the females well fed! Wishing you well.

Thanks Dennis, I have been feeding her just about as often as she will eat. She is now getting ready to shed for the second time, so i will introduce the male soon and hope for better luck. Great looking hatchlings, Congrats!
