Female gtp acting strange

bugbreath May 30, 2015 12:55 AM

Hey y'all

I have a three year old female that has been acting strange. She has become extremely active at night and hasn't ate a single rodent in a month. In fact last week I left a live rat pup but she killed it and left it. I read other forums and it seems that she shows signs of wanting to mate.

Her temps are fine and I mist her twice a day. I havent had any complaints with her besides her recent hunger strike. How long should I wait before I take her to a vet?

Thanks in advance.

Chances are it is simply a matter of her looking for a mate. Some female and males will go off feed during breeding season. If she is of proper weight and the temps are within parameters, she will resume feeding once the urge to mate has passed.
My suggestion. Get her a mate! LOL
