Beni had another good visit...

Shboom May 12, 2011 01:37 PM

Seems things are getting to be routine with Beni's visits to Cornell. Things have been status quo for so long there isn't much to really talk about with the doctors. His exam showed no signs of corneal abrasions... he continues to do well with the tear test and his pressure tested out at 12. On a little side note one of his medications is Xalatan and for the small amount in a tiny little bottle it's always been on the expensive side. Today I learned it is now being filled generically so that could be a good thing!

Good news, all around, Bob! I'm so glad to hear that Beni is doing well. Does he seem bothered much by his lack of sight?

Anne.... no Beni doesn't seem any worse for wear. He gets around the house very well and even the backyard. Of course there are the times where he does bump into a piece of furniture or even the fence but he takes it all in stride. For my part since day one I have treated him the same and not made him feel different and I think that has helped immensely.

Great news on your Beni! Your reminder on treating our pups with respect and not being overly protective when "life" happens hit the spot with me. Thanks!

It's always great to hear how great Beni is doing with his treatments.

Happy to hear Beni is doing so well. Asher is still doing great but like Beni, will always be a high maintenance dog, but they are worth it!

We had a very unexpected loss of one of our other dogs in Oct. and I have been heartbroken. I have been intending to email you. I'm better now...have a new Whippet puppy named Chloe. After all these years, a different breed, but it was a good decision.

Winona good to hear from you and I am sorry for your loss. I know how that is when Keiko passed and I can't seem to move past it. I've lost dogs before but he really touched me.

I am thrilled that Asher is still doing well... he has come such a long way too! He is such a good boy! Now I can't wait to read stories of Chloe!!
