Shiba found in NH

Shboom Jun 19, 2011 06:34 PM

My friend Teri sent me this email from a friend of hers regarding a Shiba found in New Hampshire. Anyone who thinks they may be able to help please let me know.

My friend who works at a local vet called me yesterday because someone brought in a stray Shiba. A thin, intact red male (my friend is guessing 7 or 8 years old) with no collar or chip. The woman who brought him in found him on East Nashua Rd in Windham, NH, but originally spotted him a week ago near Rt 28 on the Windham/Londonderry line. These places are within a few miles of my house, and I haven't heard anything about anyone missing a Shiba! If anyone has heard about a missing dog who matches this description, please let me know ASAP and I'll find out who has the dog now (they found him a temporary foster home). If you cannot reach me and need to reach someone about the dog ASAP, please try the Windham Animal Hospital in Windham, NH (I'm leaving in a few hours for a three day agility weekend in NY, so may be hard to reach).

Thanks,
Eunice

Hi Eunice,

It's not Brewster, thankfully. I know of one lady that frequents Griffin Park in Windham that has a very timid not stranger friendly red Shiba, but I think it is a female. She is there almost every day in the evening. I will go by tomorrow and see if it's not hers if she knows of any other Shiba people in the area that might be missing their pet. I will also post on FB to see if anyone knows of anybody in this area missing their Shiba.

Thanks,
Amanda

Just realized Bob posted this. I have met Eunice a few times and I was thinking it was a post from her.
