Hot spot on toe

TeamGenji Aug 03, 2012 02:17 PM

My dog has a dime sized hot spot on his front paw. It's started healing, but since the grass is so dry out there that sometimes the grass cuts the hot spot like a knife before it heals completely. It starts healing again, then grass cuts again. It repeats this. He just played with another dog outside in the yard, and it started bleeding a little again. It doesn't bother him walking at all, but I wonder if there's anything I can do about this. Thank you.

Try using a liquid bandage. It dries after you pu it on so it will not pick up dirt, but should keep it moist enough to allow it to heal rapidly without reopening.
