We currently have a border collie that will be 17 in April.Weve had him since he was 4 mnths old.Just wondering how many others had really really old dogs
He is deaf, and doesnt see so well anymore,and has horrid breath(a couple of teeth are missing as well).He also trips over his own feet alot.Some times he has trouble getting up off the floor but otherwise he is happy.Still wants to herd around the other dogs, still wags that tail.

I know he cant last forever and this last year he has gotten very fragile really.But he isnt in pain and seems happy enough.

I have a male Shiba Inu that will be 15 years old in February who has lost his sight due to complications from glaucoma. I also have a female Shiba Inu that is 12 years old. Sounds like your dog is doing alright for his age.

The oldest dog that I had was 15, we got him when I was a child. He was the sweetest dog ever.
