Addison's Dog

stefany8575 Jan 26, 2013 10:36 AM

Hello everyone.
My dog was just diagnosed this past Monday with Addison's. He got his first shot and is on prednisone. He is back to his happy playful self. He's eating again and pooping normally again. He does pee A LOT but I know that's from the prednisone. My biggest concern is that he is still shaking a little. It's not constant but I do see it. I was told I probably lowered his prednisone dose too fast. Any ideas or thoughts? I am new to this, a week ago I never even heard of Addison's so any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have heard about dogs getting Addison's disease but I'm not really up on it all. A quick Google search showed some pretty good site dedicated to the disease. One thing I did read is once it's diagnosed and treated properly the dogs lead a very normal and active life. Please keep us updated on your progress.
