I have made one of the hardest decisions tonight. I have to let my wonderful dog Bentley go. He's been such a good dog. I'll call the vet in the morning and make the arrangements. It's so hard to let him go.

It's a decision I have been dreading but I have come to the conclusion that any further treatment or drugs are not gonna improve his life- simply prolong it. He looks just like the pic in the upper right of this forum page- thats why I chose to post this here.

He was such a wild pup - my wife thought we were gonna need to get rid of him -LOL - then about at 2 yrs old he just blossomed into the best dog in the world. He has two playmates that are going to miss their big brother.

'big handsome' - thank you for 14 wonderful years. You'll be so missed.

Such sad news. It is never an easy decision. So heartbreaking to lose a good friend.

Bentley... some how I missed this posting and by now Bentley is waiting at the Bridge for your next reunion. Those decisions are always hard to make though we know they are the correct decisions. You mentioned the dog photo at the top of the forum... they are my first two Shiba Inu's. The one on the left is Keiko and I adopted him in 2002. Sadly he passed away in September 2010. The other on the left is Toshi and she is still with me. I adopted her in 2002 as well and she is now about 13 years old.
