Kaia is having a bad week

kona63 Sep 05, 2013 06:14 AM

Not sure what to do for the poor little guy. He is having a bad week. A lot of running like he cant control himself. Cant get comfortable. He is on his Pregablin and were told we could give him Tramadol on top of it. That still isn't helping. He was put on an anti anxiety medicine from Cornell that we took him off shortly after starting him on it, it was making him worse. Time to call Cornell and see what other thoughts they have. All this seems to have started a couple of years ago after we used Bio-Spot on Kaia. Not saying that's the cause since it was only applied once and after he had the issue with it we bathed him real good to get most of it off and never used it again on him. Just not sure whats going on.

Dave- I am so sorry Kaia is having such a tough week. It's never easy when our guys are not doing well. My girl Katsu is having some issues that may be related to liver as well and her vet put her on Dr. Jean Dodd's liver detox diet. I have to say, I believe it is helping her out quite a bit. It's not something that should be used long term, but it is great for stabilizing and it can be balanced enough to use long term if needed, but the original diet is just to "rest the body." There are a few variations out there, but the one with fish, white potatoe, and sweet potatoe is the one recommended first.
I miss everyone on these forums. I have just been too busy to check here daily.
