These are the guys (or girls I can't tell) an oranda that used to be black but has some orange on him now. my gold ryukin and the monster of the bunch a white and orange guy that looks like a cross between a ryukin and an oranda. I guess he's a fantail or
something. Without anything to compare you can't really tell how big they are but they are prettty much as big or bigger than any I've seen in a fish store. Anyway I've had them for about a year and plan to get them a bigger home in the weeks to come. If I put these guys in an 80 gal tank, how many more could I add in with them? When I do add more fish do I need to get goldfish the same size (the biggest size the pet store carries) or can I get like 4 smaller ones (orandas and ryukin)and add them in with these?

those are amazingly beautiful well kept fish. what size tank are they in now?
with fat bodied goldfish you can get away with smaller gallon per fish. usually ten gallons per fish is the least to give them but to allow for better growth i would say you could get 3 more and please remember to quarantine new stock before adding for 6 weeks if you can.

right now they are in a 20 gallon tank and that is why I am going to be putting them in a bigger tank. I am doing about 20% water change a week and replacing/cleaning filter at the same time. Today I bought some goldfish chips (no not from pepperidge farm) that have kind of easier directions for how much to feed so that might solve my how much to feed question.

When I get my new tank and want to add more fish can I buy smaller goldfish and put them in with these guys?

you would have to be careful that anything of around an inch may seem a target to chase. i would say around the 2 inch mark to be safe and dont get common type goldfish, stick to the fancy types. for feeding its generally accepted what they can eat in two minutes without it reaching the floor. sut your fish look really healthy so you must be doing something right. feed them boiled, shelled, squashed peas once a week and some lightly boiled lettuce too.
