Turtles & Fish?

blueeyes25 Aug 15, 2005 12:22 PM

Hi,

I am building a 10 X 10 X 3 ft deep fish pond. I want to have pond comets and sarasa comets. But I would also like to have a few turtles and maybe a few frogs live in the pond. Can I keep red-ear slider turtles and frogs with comet golfish? Will they eat the fish? Has anyone ever had a problem with turtles or frogs eating their fish? Please let me know...

Thanks,
Lindsay

I don't know about frogs but sliders get huge and will eat the fish.

Hi I am new to the site and just saw your ? I have 2 res for about 7 yrs,, they will eat anything that can't get away from them, matter of fact about once a mth I feed them live fish (kinda gross)but they need that in their diet, I'm guessing you must live someplace warm, because they are usually kept inside, mine are in a tank with a heater set at 78,if it gets to cold they will get respitory infections,( not fun and expensive). So my answer would be no, But good luck with your pond, I have one of those, but just for frogs.
