this pond is such a blast to get in and swim with the koi. they don't seem to mind us much and will eat right in your face with a mask on. my dad (in the picture for size) and I designed and built this ourselves and it took just over a year (working on the weekends and stuff) to complete it. just wanted to show everyone how much work we put into it and let everyone know how much fun big ponds are... plus your koi grow so much quicker in a pond this size

does anyone have any ideas of how to catch koi out of here when we need to? it's HUGE and we've tried multiple nets, but still with no luck... we have a lot of babies that we will need to get out soon

what a beautiful pond!! great work!!! as for removal you could catch the bigger ones probably with a rod and rell and a hook baited with bread or corn , or , espacially if the fish are pellet fed, the berkley trout bait you can get at just about any tackle store or walmart. as for the smaller ones an appropriate size minnow trap should work, or you could try a seine net especially as you clearly have no problem getting in the pond with the fish lol. good luck and once again great job with construction.

Sweat Mother of Koi that's a big pond! I was auctaly just looking at the pic of that in the gallery, and now seeing it again here. Good chance to say how nice it looks.

If the koi are tame enough to come right up to you and eat, couldn't you bait them into a basket or something with food?
