Bought a fish at Walmart about 8 months ago - he was labled "goldfish" however I'm curious if anyone can tell me more about him...did walmart sell me a mislabeled Koi? He outgrew his 10 gallon a couple months ago, and is now in a 30 gallon aquarium along with his buddy. He won't stop growing...and at this rate he's going to need a bigger tank in another 8 months. Help. I also (clearly) don't know the first thing about fish other than (very) basic aquarium-keeping, so any ideas would be helpful.

i think thats a koi.
koi needs ponds or a huge tank(bigger than 30g). have you got a pond? if so get it in there.

Certainly looks like a Koi to me as well.

That is a koi. You can either find him a home, buy a BIG tank, or call the store manager and tell him/her what happened and request that they trade you even up for a goldfish.
