Is there any way to construct a pond without a vinyl liner or concrete ?

I know about using pond liners but does anyone know if there is any product out there that one can apply to the soil ? something to harden the soil ? not concrete ? anything that will make the soil waterproof ? I would love to construct a pond @ 20 ft. in diameter x @ 6 ft. deep and not deal with any pond liners, clay or concrete. Is this possible ?
