I have a water catch tank for cattle on our ranch and it is full of Goldfish. The water level is getting low, but its still about 30 by 70 feet across and about 8 feet deep. Any ideas how I can catch/trap some of these fish for transplant? Thanks!

if the pond is still eight feet deep that is MORE than enough water for goldfish...anywho, depending on their size you could catch a certain amount of them with a rod and reel on a hook baited with bread, corn etc. suspended under a float. if they are small enough you could use a minnow trap. if you went out in a conoe or small boat or some other kind of platform to get somewhere towards the middle i imagine you could catch them useing an umbrella net, or maybe even a seine which you could use right off shore. no matter what, you most likely wont be able to get all of them without drainig the pond and i doubt u want to do that. for any info on any of these tactics reply back
