I was cleaning my goldfish pond when I found a worm. It has a half circle head and is about 5 to 6 inches long. It is brown and has black streaks running down its body.It is not completely flat but not completely round either. It is very slow moving. Not like a worm or snake would be. I do have picture but it is not very good. If anyone could help I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

it's called a FLAT WORM. I find them all the time in my ponds. I also find them in moist and almost saturated soils. They area harmless to humans. I've seen them feed on other worms... disolving them with juices from their stomachs they throw up on their prey. Slimy little buggers ---

scientific name : Platyhelminthes
--my ponds--
