Recessive Pinto

I have had 2 babies from the same male that have been Pinto. Both parents had NO white on them at all. Has anyone else ever seen a recessive Pinto hedgehog? I was told Pinto was always dominant. I have posted a picture of one of the babies. (Don't worry the red is just nail polish to mark her!)
