best mammal if allergic to cat&dog?

My wife is allergic to Cats and Dogs.

We (daughter & dad) have lizards, but would like to go for something furry, friendly, cuddly..?

Any suggestions as to what mammals are least likely to be allergenic?

Chinchillas?
