i just recently moved to Fairfax County Virginia. i have a pair of sugar gliders that ive had for a few years. my mother still lives in virginia beach, va where i moved from. they are legal to own down there but a few yrs ago i saw they were illegal to own in Fairfax County, VA. now when i search the web i cannot find a damn thing telling me if they are legal or illegal. ive tried contacting animal control and havent had a response yet. is there anyone out there who can answer my question, im trying to get my gliders up to me ASAP.

From what I found, sugar gliders are only illegal in 5 states: Pennsylvania, California, Hawaii, Alaska, and Massachusetts. I have read that it is necessary in some states to obtain a license to keep them, but I'm not sure in what states. I read this a few years back so it may not be correct anymore.
