Help with a tough decision!

Pmancari14 Jan 05, 2010 12:49 PM

Hi, ive owned repitles for quite a while and over summer break I would like to add a warm blooded fellow to my collection for the first time, I was either thinking of a sugar glider or a prairie dog, I researched both and was trying to think of which one would be easiest to care for, thanks in advance, Pmancari.

Dietary requirements for Gliders are quite high, and you really need to mix your own BML (Google it) to provide them adequate nutrition. They require a variety of fresh foods, where PDs as far as I know can have a prepared diet including seed mixes, rabbit pellets, and supplementing with fresh foods. Having been owned by a SG, I believe that PD's would be easier to care for. Good luck with your decision, and your new family member!
