Pattern/Marking/Coloration Help?

xstraykitten May 19, 2011 10:41 PM

I can't find what this rat would be considered, markings/coloration wise, so I figured I'd ask on here.

Parent wise, the male is a black hooded and the female is a mystery to me as well - she started off with a tan colored hood but has lost that coloration and instead is now all white aside from a bit of brown on her nose, she's also got dark red eyes - so I'm not sure what she'd be considered either. Siamese?

Anyway I just think this little guy looks cool and would like to know what he'd be considered, I guess? Lol, thanks

Oh and sorry for the large image! I couldn't get the size to reduce :/

honestly i would just call him a fancy rat, but you will have to wait till her gets bigger to call him a Siamese if he does get color on his legs and nose then you will know for sure

Hello!

Your rat is beautiful, it appears to be an unstandardized hooded rat.

The color reminds me of the Russian Blue Agouti Burmese, but since I no longer have rats, it's just a guess. Sorry I couldn't be more positive.
