Is venom of scorpion is toxic?

Anyone can tell me,Is venom of scorpion is toxic?Actually I have nourished a scorpion as a pet and now he is not familiar to me and some toxic secreted by him on my hand and I'm afraid of his venom.

The venom has to be injected to be of danger. Scorpion venom varies in danger levels by the species it is.
