I just bought 2 bright yellow cichlids about 2" long does any one what kind they are. I see them alont in many petstores. also what other cichlid can I put with them for color and same temperment.they are in a 40 gal tank heavy planted rock and plants.

It's hard to say exactly, but they could be electric yellow cichlids. Do you have pictures?
The tankmates would depend on if your cichlid really is an electric yellow cichlid.
